On March 22, 2024, our RURALL family gathered to celebrate the art of living well, and oh, what a celebration it was!

A Symphony of Flavors

From the first sip of IULI's Barat 2021, with its story of 'cat's balls' and remarkable complexity, to the playful freshness of Ta Da! 2022, our taste buds were on an adventure. Natalin 2021 paid homage to tradition, while Malidea 2020 showed us Nebbiolo's elegance outside of Langhe. Rossore 2020 painted our cheeks with pleasure, and the Vermouth Rosso wrapped the tasting with its intricate dance of bitter and floral notes. Each wine told a story, a testament to Fabrizio's dedication to his craft.

Valter Kramar, our culinary maestro from Hiša Polonka, crafted dishes that were nothing short of art. The bruschetta with lardo melted on our tongues, the roastbeef and deer tatar were a nod to tradition with a twist, and the ravioli filled with Tolmin cheese was a revelation. The duck breast sang with flavors, while the štrukelj and colomba cake rounded off the meal with a sweet embrace.

More Than Just a Dinner

But this evening was about more than just indulging our senses. It was about connections - old friends reuniting and new ones being made. It was about laughter filling the air, stories being exchanged, and the joy of discovering new things from our very interesting guests. The warmth and camaraderie of the night left us all with big smiles and promises to return for the next event.

One guest summed it up best, saying this evening was "the best investment of the year." And who could argue? Where else can you find such a perfect blend of fine wines, exquisite food, and beautiful company?
