Event Recap: A Soiree of Gastronomy, Viniculture, and Vibrant Connections

Under the soft glow of December lights, the RURALL community came together for its first dinner. The inauguration of RURALL and presentation of its first very own craft the red wine Dobro rdeče 2018.

The dinner celebrated the rich tapestry of artisanal flavors and the effervescence of friendship. The air was alive with laughter and the clinking of glasses, as each moment was steeped in joyful conversation and the spark of ideas that shone as brightly as the festive decor.

The culinary voyage was an exquisite showcase of local craftsmanship, beginning with an assortment of 'Pozdravčki' – fermented butter, yeast baskets, and tartare with kimchi cabbage that paired beautifully with the notes of the opening wine, the crisp Rojac, Malvazija 2022.

The 'Hladne mix' platters unveiled treasures like beef tartare, buttery trout with caviar, and an innovative vitello contrast, alongside hummus with red beet and a ray pâté with a pistachio twist. These dishes were thoughtfully accompanied by the effervescent Rojac, Royaz Sparkling Nature 2020.

The complex Rojac, Borac 2020 paired perfectly with the 'Primo' course - a delight of white polenta with kajmak, salmon roe, and shrimp confit in dry-aged mascarpone, elevated with a hint of truffle – a dish that was both a nod to tradition and a whisper of culinary innovation.

Finally, with the main course, a dry-aged steak grilled yakitori-style, harmonized with trevisano salad dressed in kefir, pecorino, brown butter, and harissa, the community was introduced to RURALL's first craft wine, Dobre Rdeče 2018. Both the disc and wine were a testament to the care put into every detail, reflecting the ethos of RURALL's commitment to crafting connections.

As the evening drew to a close, the desert – a personal take on tiramisu – graced the tables, while the air buzzed with excitement for the mysterious next RURALL craft project, hinted at throughout the night but left unveiled, adding an element of delightful suspense.

This inaugural dinner was not just a meal; it was a gathering where every laugh, every insight, and every cheer was a celebration of the bonds we cherish and the future we're crafting together.
