Borac 2020

Traditionally, summers in Istria are very hot. Since our ancestors did not have cooled cellars, they had to find alternative ways to maintain wine. One of the methods was maceration, which enriches the wine with tannins - natural preservatives - that protect the wine. We have returned to this old method of producing white wine and enriched it with our professional knowledge to bring the expression of our terroir into the glass. In this orange wine, you will find everything from the soil, sun, and producer - the winemaker - who wants to squeeze only the best and most energetic grapes into your glass. Borac is an example of prime collaboration between a winemaker and a restaurateur. Boris Novak from Domačija Novak and Uroš Rojac, their names are also the derivation of the name Borac, have been working together for many years and are entering the market with joint marketing efforts with this wine.
