At our grandfather’s times and even before every winemaking family in Istria had malvazija (malvasia), refošk (refosco) and a wine barrel of a special, sweet wine reserved only for family and good friends. This was wine made of muškat (muscat).
In order to revive this tradition we make all the muškat (muscat) planted by our grandfather in passito style. This way we lose 90 % of the product but obtain that exact single barrel of extra concentrated, sweet but lively wine that is so special that must be enjoyed at special occasions with family and good friends.
